New Name: Viral Job Hunt

It's Christmas Eve, but that hasn't stopped me from putting in my hours today.
The biggest change: gabrielhurley.com now features a comment system so people can share their ideas, cheer me on, or call me a fool! Everybody likes having an opinion, so go have one!
I decided to use IntenseDebate for commenting thanks to it's simplicity, it's focus on discussion, and easy installation. Pretty cool stuff. Go comment and try it out!
Aside from that, I set up OpenID for myself on gabrielhurley.com. Most of you probably already have an OpenID and don't even know it. AIM, Flickr, LiveJournal and Yahoo accounts all work as OpenIDs just to name a few. It's like having one ID that you use to log in to everything so you don't create a million different accounts.
I also made the site just a little less ugly using Blueprint CSS to give it a size, a shape, and more readable text. Next come nifty buttons, images, and ::gasp!:: maybe a whole style and design! What's next, video?!
Alas, if we already have accounts on many of these OpenID sites...then we're really screwed. Because then we have a million different accounts that we can use a million different places each.
For what it's worth, though, since I happen to have a Yahoo account in the same name I tend to use for everything, I may actually use OpenID some, though yours is only about the second I've seen lately that uses it.
That's always been my complaint about OpenID too... but somebody nobody else seems to have a problem with the fact that you can't somehow merge all these identities into a coherent single online persona.
Anyhow, yeah, it's starting to catch on. It's not so common on blogs quite yet, but I am starting to see it more on sites that are really trying to build useful social tools. So I figure it's worth having. Not like it's being forced on anybody.
